Congressman Artur Davis (D-Ala.) was featured on a panel that included Democrats for Education Reform executive director Joe Williams, and DLC Senior Fellow and Education Sector co-founder and publisher Andy Rotherham. And a health reform panel featuring Congressman Mike Ross (D-Ark.), chair of the Blue Dog Health Care Task Force, included Gary Lauer, the chairman and CEO of eHealth, and Dr. Jonathan Gruber, the MIT economist who helped design the Massachusetts health reform plan.

The event was an illustration of the New DLC at its best. It's our mission to fight for ideas that can happen and reforms that will work. Through high-impact reports, cutting-edge answers, and high-profile forums like this one, the New DLC will continue to help our allies in Congress and the administration push the envelope and get the job done.
