Statement From Senator Bob Graham on Senator Joe Lieberman

U.S. Senator Bob Graham offered the following comments on the selection of U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman as the Democratic Vice Presidental nominee:

"I am very pleased that my good friend Joe Lieberman will be the next Vice President of the United States. In addition to being a dedicated family man, Joe is a very effective public servant. His centrist political views and gentlemanly demeanor have built important bipartisan bridges in the United States Senate. Vice President Gore has made an outstanding choice."

"While Joe Lieberman's election as Vice President would be the Senate's loss, it would undoubtedly be America's gain. I look forward to working hard for the Gore-Lieberman ticket this fall."
