Director, DLC Fellows Program

The DLC is seeking a full-time director for its Fellows program, a unique, multi-year values-based leadership development program for New Democratic state and local elected officials around the country.

The Director will be responsible for all day to day aspects of managing the program, including but not limited to:

  • Identifying prospective Fellows;


  • Overseeing recruitment & selection;


  • Developing and executing the Fellows curriculum;


  • Managing the Fellows Retreat, including securing speakers, overseeing event details, and securing event locations;


  • Developing program assessment tools;


  • Coordinating alumni engagement;


  • Creating and delivering programs for Fellows between retreats;


  • Marketing and fundraising for Fellows program in coordination with DLC's Development team;


  • Managing program budget, overseeing consultants;


  • Serving as liaison to DLC Fellows Chair and advisory committee;

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to oversee multiple aspects of a project, office, or campaign. Some campaign or government work, particularly at the state and/or local level a strong plus as is an interest and experience in public policy. Must have proven excellent communications and outreach skills, and be able to work independently toward deliverable results. Significant national travel required.
